This is the use of PageRank, the formula used for ranking Google search results, on the food chain (or food web). It supports my intuition that processing data will turn out to be useful for any approach to restoring balance in the eco-systems that we participate in (I take Bookchin's view that we are just part of all this, so far, not a very intelligent part, in some ways).
