'Local Action on Climate Change' is the second in the series of Hackney Environment Network meetings throughout November at FARM:shop. Hear from Feimatta Conteh, Sustainability Projects Officer at Dalston's Arcola Theatre on the recent 10:10 ‘Global Day of Doing’ in Hackney organised by Arcola Green Sundays.  Get an update on Hackney Council’s ‘Climate Change Action Plan’ and learn more from Friends of the Earth's Kate Hand about their ‘Get Serious about CO2’ campaign.

The meeting is also an opportunity to talk with other Network members about their own campaigns on Climate Change.

Over the past six months design practice 'Something & Son' have transformed an empty shop on Dalston Lane into an urban food 'Farm', with mini 'aquaponic' fish farms, rooftop chicken coops, indoor allotments and a polytunnel. The shop has recently opened, so these meeting is an opportunity to have a look around and to hear about their plans to grow as much food as possible in every inch of the building over the next year.

The network meeting starts at 7pm and ends at 9pm.
