Yes children, Ponds and Trees are whimsical disposable commodities. Just like you and me. Now, hands up, who wants to visit the Army Recruitment Showroom in the Shopping Centre.
When I looked today there are 5 remaining trees, 4 of which have now had fencing put around them.

I can't find any reference to any planning application/permission for this but am told a 'children's centre' is being built on the site. It's an absolute disgrace. It would be good to trace the planning consent if there is any. I will raise it at the Biodiversity Partnership meeting in Dec.
