Tree Musketeers planted a beech tree on the Mansion Lawn in Springfield Park to replace the beautiful, old tree in the background of this photo. That tree is dying from Meripilus root decay and will have to be felled in a few years. TMs try to replace trees before they die. We do not just plant trees, we look after them too. Left alone newly planted trees in parks or streets die from lack of water. Trees are watered in nurseries and when planted out they struggle to establish if not watered for 2-5 years (depending on the size of the tree).
