"On Saturday 5 December 2009, ahead of the crucial UN climate summit in Copenhagen, tens of thousands of people from all walks of life will flow through the streets of London to demonstrate their support for a safe climate future for all." (See http:/
I'm not involved with the organising of The Wave, so please don't think this is a spiel. I just heard an inspirational story about a group of people in a village of 4500 inhabitants aiming to try and bring 2000 people just from their village to December's march. I thought that this sounded like something that HEN could do - to try and set an ambitious figure and work really hard together to try and get that many people down to the march under the HEN name.
On The Wave website they talk about tens of thousands of people. As important as those tens of thousands are, if we are really to make people sit up, we need hundreds of thousands of people. (Really we need a bigger march than the anti-war march, but I know that's almost fantasy.)
Please feel free to comment and let me know whether you think this would be a suitable HEN activity.

All in favour, though sadly I won't be in a position to help organise... Certainly intend to go on the day
